The proposals for the award of the 2018 career achievement award will be presented to the jury by the entities represented on it, and must be supported by the corresponding justification. Fifth. Jury composition 1. The jury will be chaired by the head of the Department of Infrastructure and Housing. Likewise, the following people will be part of the jury: a) The person in charge of the General Directorate of the IGVS. b) The person holding the General Secretariat of the IGVS. c) The person in charge of the Technical Directorate of Land, Building and Quality of the IGVS. d) The person designated by the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of the Department of Culture, Education and University Planning. e) The person designated by the Royal Galician Academy of Fine Arts of Nuestra Señora del Rosario.
The person designated by the Management of the Higher Technical School of Architecture of the University of A Coruña. g) The person designated by the University School of Technical Architecture of the University of A Coruña. h) The person designated by the Official College of Architects of Galicia. i) The person designated by the Galician Council of Colleges of Surveyors and Technical Architects. j) The person designated by the Galician Construction Federation. k) The person USA Phone Number designated by the Federation of Building and Land Developers of Galicia. 2. The person in charge of the General Secretariat of the IGVS will act as secretary of the jury. Sixth. Jury operation 1. The jury will adjust its operation to what is stated in these bases and to the provisions of section 3 of chapter II of the preliminary title of Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the legal regime of the public sector.
The jury meetings will be held on the dates indicated by its presidency and will take place at the IGVS headquarters in Santiago de Compostela. 3. It is the responsibility of the jury presidency to interpret these rules, as well as to resolve those aspects not determined therein. Seventh. Jury deliberations and decision 1. In the nominations for the 2018 architecture, rehabilitation and special sustainability awards, the jury may make a prior selection of finalist projects, among which a single winning project will be chosen for each of the award modalities. Likewise, the jury may make honorable mentions, without financial award, to those performances that it deems worthy of special recognition. 2. The decisions of the jury will be made by a majority of those present at the deliberation and, in the event of a tie, the casting vote of its presidency will decide. 3. The jury may declare the awards void if it considers that the works presented do not meet the necessary merit to obtain the distinction. 4. The jury will issue its decision, mentioning the values of the award-winning projects that make them worthy of the distinction received.
