LEVELS OF RACING________________________________________________
- MAIDEN RACE - A race limited only to horses who have not yet broken their maiden. This is usually a horse's debut race.
MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT - A race for horses who have not yet broken their maiden, but are expected to win quickly. These races are the highest level of the maiden races.
MAIDEN CLAIMER - A race for horses who have not yet broken their maiden status, and are eligible to be claimed for the same amount as the entry fee.
- ALLOWANCE - A small prestige race usually for horses that have just begun racing and need to qualify for stakes races. A horse must win at this level before advancing to stakes level competition.
- CLAIMING RACE - This is the lowest level of racing. All horses entered in a claiming race are for sale, and can be claimed by another member for the same amount as the entry fee. Should the claim be successful, that horse would then be transferred to the person who posted the claim.
OPTIONAL CLAIMER - In these races, it is optional for horsemen to offer their horse up for claim. It's the next step up in the racing ladder, but still a long way from the top.
- STAKES RACE - This is the highest level of racing. These races generally attract the top horses, and fall under four categories.
GRADE 1 STAKES - Grade 1 is the most prestigious of the various types of stakes races. These races generally attract the best horses, and therefore the highest purses, since top horses usually follow the money. A good example of G1 races are the Triple Crown races - The Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes.
GRADE 2 STAKES - Grade 2 is the second most prestigious type of stakes race. They offer slightly lower purse amounts than some Grade 1 stakes. These races are not quite as valued, but they still attract high class competitors. Many important two-year-old stakes are Grade 2.
GRADE 3 STAKES - Grade 3 is the least prestigious of the Graded Stakes races. They tend to offer lower purses than G1 and G2 stakes events.

DECIDING RESULTS________________________________________________
01. Once enough entrants have been accepted into a race, admin will calculate the results. It is a very accurate system, and includes many variables such as weather, track condition, distance, surface, speed, stamina, running style, jockeys, and trainers.
02. Each racehorse that you own has been given their own unique number. This number is unknown to everyone but the admin. This specific number will define how much success you will achieve with a horse. A high number equals an increased chance of winning races, while a low number is just the opposite.
